yeah I would just classify them as rock **** all the genre nitpicking about metal core....they first two albums were a bit harder than their third one which was more commercial and appeasing the ears of the average radio listener. They just kept that formula because it seems to work for them that's why the fourth is pretty much in the same vein.

They can have different aspects and traits from different genres, and not be classified as 'metal'.
Creativity is a great thing, mixing elements fun, try not to be so straightforward in your judgement of music.
Open minds leave room for growth and understanding.

it's sad when somebody doesn't know anything about the band, but claims they are great!

Whats worse is when people dont know anything about a band and claim it sucks.

You don't need to know anything about a band to like a song.

I happen to have liked Hawkwind for about 10 years, I have no idea who sings most of their songs seeing as they let whoever wants to do the vocals do them and they've had about 100 band members.

There "spacerock" right? I have always meant to check them out.

this band is the only metal band that pisses me off. Because they get so much attention for doing absolutely nothing productive enough to be so popular. Gates saves them as a whole, and they still don't compare to an august burns red or all that remains. But their fans still act like they are the best metal band ever and their is so much better stuff out their. Wanna hear great drumming, listen to atr, they are much better than a7x any way you look at it. Sometimes i wonder if this is the only band some listen to.

If i were to rate a7x, i would give them like a 5/10. Pretty mediocre band, but i do have respect for their guitar work.

Shes pretty foxy.

Gates stands out the most in that band but as most people are saying and i'd approve... they are nothing special

I dig their City of Evil album and a song or two off their newest album, and that's about it.

A song titled "Unwind the Chainsaw" hit the web today, but has since gone off. Fans got a chance to hear a snippet of the song at Avenged Sevenfold.com today for a limit of 10mins. Fans who were viewing the site, got a surprise song play while they were browsing the site. I got a chance to hear the song, it's same Syn Gates back to his old guitar tricks again, this time making Chainsaw noises...wow.

A7X is a really great band. For those who like multiple genre bands, I would check Avenged Sevenfold out, they're great.

i wouldn't say multiple genre, but some of their songs like Sidewinder and A little Piece of Heaven stray towards it

A7X is such a kick ass band. and they aren't just "metal" or "hardcore" they do a lot of different styles which makes them an even better band. and they have f*cking Synester Gates who is an AMAZING guitarist. and they are awesome live, and to all those who think that they need to tell people what "real" music is... just STFU. we all have different taste in music. so go off to your little whiny forums and hate on the good bands there. no one cares about your opinion here.. :finger: kk thanks. ok off soapbox....

anyways i saw them live in San Diego this month and it was an amazing concert. they are amazing live and doesn't even compare to their energy on stage, it was one of the best nights of my life. I've been a fan for years and i cant wait til they come out with a new album. :love:

They are good, I like their lyrics but I would like to hear a little bit more creative instumentals.

I like A7X. I still think their new album is not very good, but I have a soft spot for almost easy. They're like 2 different bands. StST-WtF and CoE onward. Matt has a really REALLY whiny new voice which kills me at times (Seize the Day and the end of MIA >_<).I think they get too much unnecessary hate.

gates is good, but the band is mediocre. There are many better core bands out there.

there are 4 main cds. diamonds in the rough is mainly songs of them live. and it has like 5 new songs. which are good too. so w/e. i'm not stupid and it was very mean of you to call me that. no need to get nasty. :wavey:
