it really depends on the type of melodicism - A7X is heading more into a commercial direction
Paradise Lost are melodic too, but it's a kinda ethereal melodicism and I love them for it |

I remember seeing them for free, and got what I paid for. I do not think they are terrible, but I would like to see them spend less time wanking their instruments and more time playing them. Never saw the big deal in them though, just a run of the mill metalcore band to me.

They're better than Seether or Three Days Grace, but in the end they're still cheesy and disposable. Post-grunge that pretends to be metal.

I'm ashamed to say that I like them. I saw them in concert once and they put on a pretty good show although there was a guy in front of me saying how they're "teh best metal band EVER11!" I considered punching him for that remark
