It's for their new album, they haven't set a release date yet but judging by that I guess it's going to be soon. I can't wait to hear Mike Portnoy's drumming!

Obviously. And the album is set for release sometime in July. Not much else is known, sadly.

Could be interesting!!! Hopefully all the pop stardom didn't go to their heads and they make something that is a progression from their previous stuff, not a regression as is so often the case after a fairly sales successful release...

I am curious to hear their new drummer to. He has a tough position to fill.

As far as I know, Portnoy is not the "new" drummer, per se, he just did the work that Jimmy obviously can't do. As long as A7X doesn't put out songs longer than 10 minutes, then I don't think I'll mind the new release.

anyone hear anything regarding when this is set to come out? i heard they started recording in october but with the recent death of the rev, has anyone heard anything further?

New single just came out!
 

May 18th they released their new single "Nightmare" on iTunes. You can hear it on their homepage I believe. I cannot wait for this album as I loved their last two albums (not the biggest fan of Waking the Fallen). This should be terrific.

But have really started to love them since I heard the song "Bat Country" when it came out...their last self-titled album blew me away and they have become one of my favorite metal bands.

Cannot wait for their new album to come out...Nightmare rules.
