atreyu sounds pretty similar to avenged sevenfold. fast paced double bass lots of screaming and smooth singing voices. also check out bands like from autumn top ashes and even though they dont sound much like a7x, check out saosin.

I F***ing love A7X, my favorite band,you cant really find anybands that sound like them, but some bands i listen to that u might like are Illnath, there a good band, or Bleeding Through. A7X rules

A7X is just as great as Atreyu in my opinion, if not better, but ive never herd of fata...

from autumn to ashes is better than both. i dislike A7X. the guitar is rad but i hate the singing. alot. and the screams are meh.

eh, i like some melodic bitching music every now and then. it helps me deal with my own issues from time to time.

Agreed, A7X are such a different band that it is hard to find any others of the same standard. I suggest Atreyu, Breaking Benjamin and Dead Poetic.

Can't say I'm a HUGE fan of Atreyu. A7X is far superior to the above mentioned.

I think Atreyu is a great band, but i definetly agree with you Jaz, A7X is way better, i love each and every one of their songs and cant wait for their next album.

Has anyone heard their new CD City of Evil I have and quite frankly Im dissapointed. The Guitar work and drums and everything are awsome but it just doesn't compare to their older stuff!!

i like it. true, the screaming will be dearly missed, but hey, no band stays the same.

i think the songs ive heard off the new album are pretty good. trashed and scattered (as you can see by my sig) is my favorite song for the time being. overall, the new songs dont dissappoint me at all. and neither does the change.

I dont like it much really...

But then, Ive been told it should grow on me, so Ill give it a chance... I just cant get into it yet..

it will grow on you. i didnt like it at all at first. now i love it. the one thing you gotta do it to not connect it to what you know as avenged sevenfold. think of it as hearing them for the first time and hearing that song.

the screaming was a redeeming factor. I'm not going to bother if there is none.

I just find that the songs are not as powerfull as the old stuff. Regardless of the Screaming. I mean "I wont see you tonight part 1 " has no screaming and it's one of my favorite songs but the new songs don't have as much raw energy and sh*t! I don't know I like the songs but I feel like something is missing!

I Dont know if any of you know this but lead singer M. Shadows was told to stop the screaming because his throat started bleeding and if he carried it on he could risk damaging himself for life so he tonned down the screaming on this album, so you cant say its not a good album coz of the screaming just listen to the lyrics its amazing lyrical content and it has some quality guitar and drum playing no wonder its been given a 5 K! in kerrang id say its great as does every magazine so be a real fan and dont knock it.

seriously. there are bands that have been around 10+ years and scream more than him.

i think the cd is great, idc care wat ne one says, sure i miss the screaming, but if iwant to hear him scream the ill listen to the old stuff, but i stil think the new stuff is great.

i still like it anyway, sure i hated it at first, but i like it now. it's good.
