Avenged Sevenfold is an excellent band. They have great lyrics in their songs that actually have meaning and make sense, and they have insane guitar riffs, as well as drumming skills.

R.I.P. "The Rev"

I like them, especially their self-titled and their first two records when they were a metalcore band. Sidewinder was my favorite song of all-time for quite awhile..then Opeth took over everything.

I used to like them a lot more than I do currently. I still don't mind their second album every once in a while. Most of their other albums I find OK, except I never really liked their first one.

They were the band along side Dethklok that got me to start to appreciate harsher vocals in Metal, so I guess you could say thanks to them I've found I like many more Metal bands than I ever would've without them.
