The God Damned Rawest of the Raw, Blackest of the Black
Downright unlistenable to wimpy ears and minds not yet prepared...
Who's into incredibly raw, harsh, and evil fusions of black metal with noise or punk? Both have a lot going on right now. Suppose I could've mentioned something in the BM thread, but I have some kind of encyclopedic knowledge on this, especially raw black metal/punk, and it could warrant it's own thread just as technical death metal could warrant it's own aside from the DM one., at least in my opinion. Here's some of that, the essentials http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrSVDWfBqaE Sump - Miserable Sin - YouTube Teeth Gnashers - Shark's Breath - YouTube Black Beasts - II - YouTube Grinning Death's Head - Golden Dawn [Full Demo] - YouTube And then there's black noise, a horribly evil sounding music, terror in audio, unnerving in the dark. Gnaw Their Tongues - Nihilism Tied Up and Burning - YouTube Chorus of the Blasphemes - Nahvalr - YouTube Semen Drenched Slave Of The Devil - Young Bodies In Bloom Taken To Their Doom - YouTube Stalaggh - Pure Misanthropia (Full) - YouTube Basically, if it's raw and harsh and black as ****, let's see it. We're reaching towards the extreme here. |

Sump are good. Are you familiar with Axnaar? They're another Legion Blotan band. Vlad Tepes are great, as well. Ancestors (the Youth Attack one) are also fantastic, the first part of Demo II is magical. Smoke are so-so. You can tell they're improvisational. Etc.
Have you heard the Legion Blotan compilation Old Ways, Once More?

As far as labels go, I'm partial to Colloquial Sound Recordings (home of the mighty Aksumite), Tour de Garde (Akitsa, etc.), Bestial Burst (Ride for Revenge), & Kuunpalvelus (Circle of Ouroborus).
