Love them. I'm pretty good buds with Jimi Hazel. This is me and him onstage at the Viper Room in West Hollywood a few years back.

And Spyz is 10 times better live than on record! Amazingly kick ass show.
I'm gonna reach out to Jimi and see if he wants to sign up here. He's a great forum hang.

I like the original name the guitarist chose, Jimi Hazel. I thought I had discovered Eddie Hazel's son there for a moment when I first read his name.

I like their single Break The Chains, Blues For Dimebag is OK. The song Understanding is a favorite.
But my favorite song out of all of them, which resonates a cool 70s funk vibe. Is Earth And Sky.

They had some decent tunes but for me Mas Barracho by Infectious Grooves is probably my fave even though it was a decade later after the Funk Metal explosion. A soft spot has to go to Fishbone's Truth and Soul album too.

I remember you mentioning these guys in the Soul & Funk forum before. I like the single you suggested Mas Barracho.I did a little more research on YouTube, and ran into the single Cat Got My Tongue which I like as well.

I was intrigued to find out they were a supergroup. I decided to do a little investigating, after hearing the bass player Robert Trujillo. Wow... one of the best funk bassist I've ever heard, definitely better than Flea by far.

I've never picked up on him being that good of a bass player before with METALLICA. I knew he was good, but not that good.
Not until I heard him with Infectious Grooves

I hear a resemblance to Prince on electric guitar.
