The Deftones are not a very good looking band, lol however if you close your eyes and just listen to the band, vocals and the meanings of the lyrics , you can surely appreciate the sheer irony of it all!

Default Metal Month II: Day Five

We kicked off today with another of my favourite metal albums in "The Metal that made Me", with Anvil's "Metal on metal", then finished off Janszoon's top ten, introduced the concept of "The Batlord's Torture Chamber", due to start tomorrow. Also began exploring Viking Metal and wrapped up with another of Brazil's finest, Angra, in the third installment of "The International Language of Metal".

This is from TH's journal, but this is easier than going through a journal.

I thought you were only doing three albums?

I thought you said three more, as in four in all? Well, if there's only gonna be one more after those two (and yes, I'm totally making you listen to Limp Bizkit), then the third would be that Gnaw Their Tongues album, An Epiphanic Vomiting of Blood. Although if you're willing to throw in Thorr's Hammer's Dommedagsnatt, then that would be epic. It's like the opposite of grindcore just so you know, and it's only a three-song EP.

Sorry, Briks. You lose.

He can always review it in another section... well, if he wants. I've already thrown Tool at him and now I'm starting to feel bad.

Long story short: they sound like Cryptopsy. So as far as you're concerned you're not missing anything.

Default Metal Month II: Day Six

Back to Slayer we go for a review of the seminal "Reign in blood" album, then it's another member-recommended album, this time "Imaginary sonicscapes"by Sigh, before I get tied up, kidnapped and taken to "The Batlord's Torture Chamber" and get subjected to Cryptopsy's "None so vile. After that, all I can do is share some more of "The Metal that made Me", praising Dio's second album, "The last in line".

Busy day. And it's not even teatime...
