Long story short: they sound like Cryptopsy. So as far as you're concerned you're not missing anything.

Back to Slayer we go for a review of the seminal "Reign in blood" album, then it's another member-recommended album, this time "Imaginary sonicscapes"by Sigh, before I get tied up, kidnapped and taken to "The Batlord's Torture Chamber" and get subjected to Cryptopsy's "None so vile. After that, all I can do is share some more of "The Metal that made Me", praising Dio's second album, "The last in line".
Busy day. And it's not even teatime...

As we complete the first week of Metal Month II, it's back to Brazil for a double-shot of The International Language of Metal, featuring Lothloyren and a band called Stress, who you probably have never heard of, then we check out Sabaton's new album "Heroes" in the "Freshly Forged in '14" section, and begin checking out Plankton's top ten list.

I think it's too late to suggest albums, right? But I have an album I really would like you to check out at some point, TH. Whetjer it be for metal month, or anything.
Der freiwillige Bettler by Urfaust. This is an atmospheric black metal album...with clean vocals. I know you don't like the harsh vocals, but this album has all the black metal awesomeness and riffing (even a bit of experimentation here and there), but completely devoid of harsh vocals. Rather the album features operatic/deep chanting style vocals. Okay, not completely devoid, but the screams utilized here are much different than black metal shrieks. Just a suggestion. I saw you liked the Sigh album, and I think you may like this one.

Oh, apparently someone already recommended their first album, that one is more classic, but also much more raw and black metally. The one I mentioned is a lot cleaner, less dark ambient leanings, and more doom metal influence...well, carry on then,
Triple post ftw |

Oh, and no, it's not too late to suggest albums, though I can't guarantee I will get to them.

I'll pop it in, but as I say with Viking Metal, Irish metal and a triple boxset still to go, to say nothing of the Black Sabbath faceoff and a whole lot more, I'm sort of sinkin' in the metal swamp. I'll try, is all I can promise.
