Alright... so since I last posted I've listened to both albums. Wild Beyond Belief! is amazing—dirty, lo-fi doomy hard rock with a touch of psychobilly. Like you, I still haven't wrapped my head around fully around Die Screaming though. The cleaner production doesn't bother me—now you can actually discern what each instrument is doing and it's still not too clean—but what the hell is up with the vocals? They've taken the psychobilly howls of the first LP and replaced them, apparently, with Butters from South Park. Why any band would make a decision like this is beyond me. I'm just trying to see if I'm able to ignore the new vocals sufficiently to enjoy the songs because everything is else is still quite good, maybe even better than the first album.

^I totally agree. Upon listening to the second album a couple of times; It hit me its absolutely better in every aspect except the annoying as crap vocals. I love everything about the album except that. It doesn't ruin the album, but it certainly hurts it. I really like the band though, and I hope when they get ready to release something else they go back to the original sounding vocals.
