Favorite type of metal (rock, 1980)

I voted rap-metal, a while back, but now I'd have to go with metalcore. Not really into metal, though.

I didn't see any hair metal? you have to give it up to motley crue. they kept metal in the conversation to the masses during the 1980's

the type of metal i listen to mostly is

regular metal and death metal

but i listen to some metalcore once in awhile

I don't care what sort of Metal as long as it is decent admittedly that does narrow the field somewhat.

I can't really say I've ever enjoyed grindcore. Acquired taste, I guess.

While I listen and enjoy all types of Metal, I'm going to have to go with Power Metal. Thrash would have been 2nd and Progressive 3rd.
