Death Metal has got to be my favorite metal subgenre. While there are hundreds of ****ty dm bands, the select few that are quality are ****ing amazing. Some of my favorites include:
Lykathea Aflame
Appalling Spawn
Phlebotomized
Psypheria
Atheist
Asphyx
Arghoslent
At the Gates(TRITSIO)
Pan.thy.monium.

....much much more

How can you like Atheist and not like Death? They're the masters of Death Metal. Sbg was brutal as hell!

Whoa whoa whoa, that list was *some* of my favorite dm bands. I have **** tons more that I absolutely love, Death being one of them. Death is an awesome band, but maybe not the masters of death metal. Leprosy is easily my favorite album by them with Spiritual Healing in second. Death is one awesome band, but not my favorite.

Talent=/=quality. But yes, the lineup was pretty awesome. Honestly, imo, the best death metal album ever created is The Red in the Sky is Ours. So good on so many levels. Its too bad that ATG pretty much turned to **** after that record. With Fear.. was ok but everything else pretty much blew.
