You know I have never been into metal but that run to the hills is such a bloody great song.
Iron Maiden had a good image and some great songs. And they made use of their great guitar playing and turned it into great riffs. I always think of Maiden when I remember the midlands as a student as they loved Maiden in Leicester pubs. I always thought of metal as kind of childish and simple when I prefered the smiths and the roses but I always thought Maiden had a great band and that anglo saxon medievil image I loved too. And they always went to number one for just one week when they released a single due to their fans all buying the release. They also done a great live show. I am not too keen on that ozzy osbourne and motely crue attitude as it doesn't really change kids or do politics or social stuff or kids problems growing up just cashes in on them but like my mom used to say "they are not hurting anyone and they are happy" and it is better for teenagers to be into manson or slipknot or something giving them something then be townies listening to ****e. That's the midlands for you. Iron maiden's metal is a great sound and image. |

Holy hell, I didn't even know there were so many types of metal. Sheesh. I picked the first one because apparently I'm ignorant when it comes to sub-genres.
