New Grunge Thread
I don't see the point in digging up the old one, so here's a new Grunge Thread. Here, I'll late post the links of the best album by each member of the big four bands of grunge once I have 15 posts.
Here we can discuss any grunge , like Superunknown vs. Badmotorfinger, your opinion of the fifth best grunge band, Nirvana's HOF induction and the booing at Courtney, anything. I've also included a poll for the vocalists. It's obvious Nirvana would win a best band poll, and best album was done before. So, here's a poll that's all about the big four vocalists? Who's your fave? My vote goes to Chriss Cornell, because he can go high and low and sideways. He's got a lot of voices so it's hard for me to decide on which voice's my fave. That's a tough one! They're all great. I just watched the Grunge episode from the Metal Evolution series and there's some footage of Alice In Chains performing on the Clash Of The Titans tour in 1991 and Layne Stayley's voice is incredibly powerful, wish i could have seen them live. Did see them with their new singer a couple of months ago and they're amazing still, William's voice fits so well with Jerry.

Having said that Alice in Chains were/are an amazing band, its just that Layne's apathy really dragged the vibe down that night. The funny thing is they they were playing on the very same stage that I had seen Nirvana play on nearly two years earlier and even though Kurt Cobain had apathy and substance abuse issues to rival Layne's, it did not carry through their performance which was a rather cathartic experience. Anyway as far as the poll goes, i would have to say Chris Cornell, just far the fact that he has such dynamic range, each has his qualities but Chris is definitely more versatile.
