Nah, it's not cliché. It's éhcilc. But most definitely not cliché. It would only be cliché if you meant it.

I'm Burnin' For You, although a cliche, is still one of my favorite songs, period. Not just by BOC. so, that one.

It is a timeless classic, a fun song to cover on bass and guitar I might add as well.

If you're actually able to do that, I'm mentally ****ing bowing to you because I know if you do, you know how to do it right. A lot of covers half-ass it.

Well that's really nice of you sweetheart but I'm nowhere that good of a guitarist. I'm actually a bass player, but I do play electric & acoustic rhythm guitar and a little drums, but nowhere as good as some of my predecessors. You're right about a lot of cover bands not performing the songs correctly. I think it has more to do with how good and versatile the lead singer is more so than having outstanding musicians. Although I'm sure both are preferred. Covering the classics from the 60's and on into the the 70s & 80s is always a lot of fun. Maybe I'll get to cover one of my favorite songs by Steely Dan one of these days.
