having fans in general is a good reward. And a lot of bands got signed right away during the grunge days, simply for being part of the "seattle" scene.

I don't understand why you feel the need to defend you favorite bands so much, can't you enjoy their music without thinking of them as knights in shining armor against the corruption that is the music industry.

The only band i can think of off the top of my head that has had good success without signing to a major label is fugazi.

What about Tad or the great Mother Love Bone they were huge and they weren't signed to a major label. I'm not defending my "favorite" bands i'm telling you the truth of what they said or perhaps said, that's what i'm going bases on.

first off can we chill with the little head-phones icon? you use that in nearly every post..

but im not gonna try to persuade your opinion, just remind you that these people are human beings-who want money...

if they were really so anti-coporate they wouldn't have needed to play stadiums...or sell worthless merchandise.

i dont blame nirvana as much seeing as how courtney started selling the rights(i was sad when i heard a nirvana song had been used in csi)
these people are capable of making their own decisions..and im pretty sure they all chose the lifestyle their living now

Default Pearl Jam - Yield

I am listening to it right now. And really never realized how much of a great album it is. The flow of it is amazing and all the songs on there rule. Pearl Jam is one of the best bands ever and this album is pretty good. What do you guys think?

Which album?
I'm assuming it's Ten. And that is by far in the top 5 of my favorite albums. It flows well and there is not one filler track, every single track is memorable and great in their own right.
