Pearl Jam has 2 great albums and the rest range from pretty good to ok.

Metallica has 3 great albums, 2 good ones and a whole lot of rancid dog sh*t, plus their drummer is Lars Ulrich.

Pearl Jam wins.

Pearl Jam has one album I tolerate and 40 other ones who should be arrested.

What the...what's Metallica have to do with this?

All right Boobaloo - fess up, what are Pearl Jam's 2 "great" albums?

And let me guess Batty - you like Ten or Vs.?

I'm okay with the debut.

Someone started an argument in this thread over which band is better... for some reason.

The two albums I was referring to are Ten and Vs.

Vitalogy, No Code and Yield are good if uneven, once we're out of the 90s I lose interest.

Replace Yield with Binaural and I mostly agree with you.

Binaural was unique and had some pop rock bangers

Some tracks on Vitalogy just suck, others are brilliant. Frustrating album. No Code and Binaural are tighter than Yield and Riot Act/Self Titled

The best studio recording they ever made was with Neil Young when they joined him to record his 'Mirror Ball' album.
And their best live performances were also with Neil Young when they went out on tour with him (without Eddie Vedder) to promote that album.

I don't know if it counts, but the EP Merkinball has two excellent tunes on it.

Vs. is my favourite from the band. Yield is pretty good too.
