Default Just for fun.

If I was to assmeble a dream team from the early 90's I'd say

Cornell - vox
Morello - Guitar
Flea - Bass
Grohl - Drums

if I was to put together a contemporary group I'd go

Jack White - Guitar
Josh Homme - Guitar
John Dolmayan - Drums
Carlos D. - Bass

Without telling me that their not compatible or that you'd sub this guy out for that guy,
who would make better music
Who'd make a better live band
Who'd best the other in career spanning glory?

This is for fun, just debate.

I think you're 90's band edges out your 00 band, essentially you have the same vocalist but the 90's band has a better song writer. Chamberlin is more than likly the best drummer technically out of that era and I think Morello shreads Omar, but hey thats just me, for your pick's I'd say the 90's wins. I have no idea who you have on Bass in either catagory.

This is hard to choose. I think over the past couple of years I've developed an opinion about Dave Grohl, that he is much more talented as a singer/songwriter than a drummer. Where as John Dolmayan is a talented drummer who is progressing fastly in his style. Every musician in the 90's dream team was very successful with their band, but if it really came down to it the contemporary band seems a little more interesting. I'm not really familiar with Carlos D. though... The musical chemistry between Flea and Chad Smith is really strong so that alters my decision a little also.

id propably prefer to listen to my 90s band too. mani is the bassist from the stone roses. great player. chamberlain on drums is technically grand while yorkes voice and song writing ability in my opinion make him by far the best frontman of the 90s. ollie wright is the bassist from the nightjars.

I reckon Eddie Vedder is better than Chris Cornell for vocals imo
