Why is this band hated so much?

I really hope the subject of Slipknot grows hot again, it has spawned some very humorous posts

I think SLipknot are verrryyyy popular so IDK what your talking about

they pretty much headline a lot of concerts in Europe

Personally I don't think their first album is that bad. Their biggest problem is their bah-ROOOTAL-ly stupid fam base.

I'm in total agreement here. I was blown away when I saw, and heard them for the first time at Ozzfest 1999. But then again, I was all hopped up on goofy juice at the time.

The only problem with them that I've found is that they're kind of a one-trick pony. Not alot of dynamics in their tunes.
