i dunno i dont really understand or get into the technical aspect of music like who is a good drummer or who can play what type of music. but i always thought they sounded good. probably didnt help their reputation among non teenagers and non douches because of their douchy lookin fans tho. theres a bit of a negative reaction to sayin youre a slipknot fan i think

I agree that the perception their fans give off (and tbh the band members themselves) has made them prime targets for ridicule, but I genuinely just dont like their sound either. Theyre pretty much just pop metal and im not about that life

Perhaps because of their fans (Psychosocial Baby shows how the fans are annoying: while the singer says he found the song genial most of the fans expressed hatred towards the creator of it) and because their playing style calls way too much attention, giving them the fame of braggers. I just think that their songs are still great, worth of respect.

I could be wrong, but I think that Slipknot's "Spit It Out" has a little bit of comedy in it... Yes, there is a lot of anger in that song, no kidding. But, at the same time, there is a feeling of sarcasm. I think that a radio station tried to shut down Slipknot. Slipknot responded to the radio station with the song "Spit It Out".
