Unfortunately, this has a lot to do with the whole Kurt Cobain/suicide thing. I don't listen to Nirvana and instantly think "wow, he's dead." but there could be others who've never listened to them but know the main reason they know the name is because of hearing of Cobain's death.

Nirvana's music is not particularly depressing. Many of their songs are pretty funny. For example, Territorial Pissings always gives me a laugh

Well yeah, things like that and "Scentless Apprentice" and "Sliver" aren't, but then we have "Drain You," "Something In The Way," and "You Know You're Right."

Someone told me that after adolescene you revert more, in a very loose sense, to your childhood form

Iunno what that has to do with this but thats my emotional resonance to this song somehow

It's almost impossible to choose because they are completely different I like them both but I do like more songs by foo fighters
