In his book, Ozzy said he was on drugs all during the Osbournes show, which is why he was so out of it on the show. He was sober for awhile after that, but supposedly within the year got off the wagon again.

its ok its a straight RAW rock album like prob no click track recorded on two inch tape LOL I know rick likes to do that sometimes

first listen yeah for a elitist its very boring but im a sucka for ozzys voice and the DUal work of Iommi and geezer

anyway I don't think a lot of Heavy metal (casual) fans are gonna like this there is not a lot of Heavy tracks a lot of blues and dark moody sludgy songs

but They kept it close to the vest I would of been more exicted if they went even deeper like do a straight up Drone/Doom album with sprinkles of Blues n country since that what it seems the type of music they like

This song sounds as phoned in as possible. I'm just as excited to hear a new Aerosmith or Rolling Stones album (i.e. not even slightly).

I'm listening to '13' again and I still just don't quite know what to make of it yet.

Initially I thought it was...forced, may be the best word to describe it. 'Phoned in', as Engine says above, may also have described how I felt about it. Not bad, but just kind of unnecessary. However, by the end of my first listen I was starting to enjoy what I was hearing a lot more.

Second time around I think it's maybe a little more than that. It's more than I had hoped or would have expected for it to be. Theres maybe a little more thought gone into some of these tracks than I had anticipated or originally given credit for. It seems to be a record that I think the band have taken very seriously, rather than simply 'phone it in'...but theres still something that holds me back a little from saying it's particularly anything more than a 'solid', respectable record. Especially for their age.

Maybe it will continue to grow on me.
