Default Bands that aren't so popular

For any bands/artists in rock and metal you think aren't quite as popular as they ought to be, or just new bands that look like they've a bright future. Doom metal as a genre is hugely underrated, for me.

Not sure why my spoilers aren't appearing. When I click to edit the BBCodes and youtube links are there in black and white.

EDIT:
Situation under control, backup not requested

I see you're all a bit more mainstream.

...because we didn't respond to your boring thread in seven minutes we're too mainstream? Why don't you explore the forum a bit more and find out just how mainstream we are.

Have you even LOOKED into this forum? At all? The people here are, for the most part, the most stuck-up music snobs I have ever met (and I mean that in the best way possible).

Nobody replied because we already have a million separate threads for unknown or lesser-known groups. It's kind of a moot thread.

Calm down fellas, nothing wrong with being mainstream, wasn't intended as an insult.
@Exoskeletal, had 40 views by then, that's pretty fast.
@Blarobbarg, I searched for one but didn't find it in the first 4 pages, so I assumed it wasn't tried before.

The forum also counts the views from non-members, and this forum gets a shocking amount of lurkers and spambots, so threads get a lot of views, fast. Not necessarily from members.

My point was that we have separate threads for lesser-known bands. It would be easier to make a new thread or a single group, rather than making a thread for any and all obscure groups.

I hope that makes sense.

I didn't bother replying because:

-the topic sentence is incredibly broad
- in the OP you jettisoned the topic sentence with some weird notion that an entire subgenre is underrated
- you linked to six videos but didn't bother to explain any of them

Then there's the music itself. Mascaron sound more deathcore than anything what with the chug-chugging nonsense, solitude aeturnus have godawful vocals & the instrumentation is boring to boot, scars of life play second rate nu metal like it's 99.

Isole are ok. If it wasn't for them, I'd **** on this thread.

Here are some groups I think deserve more credit:

ancestors play noisy, lo-fi black metal in the vein of Ildjarn.

Spoiler for from ancestors II demo:

Impiety play black/death metal, while every release is different they always work with these genres motifs. This is one song, nearly 40 minutes in length, which represents one of the most interesting attempts at incorporating progressive elements into an explicitly extreme framework without overt genre blending such as Opeth make us of.

Spoiler for impiety:

Because it's quite true. The biggest doom metal I've seen on Youtube had 2 mil views, and that was a rare exception.
I strongly disagree with you, especially when you say that SA have awful vocals. How so?

Ignore him. Solitude Aeturnus rule, and just doesn't want to admit it.
