Probably either Black Sabbath or Slayer. Hearing
Reign In Blood for the first time was one of the formative events in my music education. Of course I was also getting into Maiden by that time, so it's hard to say. I think by the time you've gotten into two or three metal bands, it becomes impossible to pin down who the next one was.
