I saw them in concert in 2011, pretty boring. I've listened to Rust and Peace Sells several times and still can't get into them.

I feel like it is worth mentioning that Anthrax, who many consider inferior, was terrific live when I saw them last summer

That's kind of funny. My brother said that that was the song that finally turned him off of the band. He's a Black Album hater...

Well this was when I was pretty young and hadn't been exposed to metal at all. I didn't have the perspective that I do now. I don't like the Black Album anymore. I'm actually kind of tired of Metallica in general

What got you into death metal, Jewel? Just kidding. Just kidding. Breathe and Firestarter were pretty good.

Did not venture deep into other metals, but Iron Maiden-Run To The Hills is what got into listening into the older heavy metal bands like Maiden,Metallica,Slayer, Anthrax etc.

I was about 8 or 9 when my first real memory of metal came back, and that is of Linkin Park who are now my favorite band but there was a long time for about 5 years when I hated metal and all spin offs but when I saw the new LP album advertised on tv, I just wanted it not really knowing why and BAM!! Im a metal junkie again xD

So yeah... Linkin Park basically, but if we are on about METAL-METAL then for sure is AskingAlexandria!!<3

I don't think the new LP album can count as metal.
