I am a HUGE Zep fan, and I could not choose one single favourite, most of their albums can get put in trance! :afro:

presence is definitely their best

Houses of the Holy is just pure gold in my opinion. I haven't come across another album like it. Plus it also contains my favourite Led Zeppelin track "No Quarter", which gives it an extra boost.

I've owned that album on CD for a couple years now and I never knew that the title song wasn't on there. I was going to say that I can't make up my mind between IV and Houses of the Holy, but jeez, since I didn't know that how can I now?

Thing is, though, that The Ocean is my favorite Led Zeppelin song, so I don't know which to pick. Might have to relisten to them again, eh?

I have to say Led Zeppelin III. Something about that album I suppose, from the opening track to the last. Though II does come in as a very close second. I love me Heart Breaker and Thank you :3

Physical Graffiti was my pick. Very few Double Albums can catch my attention for their entirety, and it's a great collection of then-recent works with some tracks from previous sessions ("Bron-Yy-Aur" "Boogie With Stu" "Houses of the Holy"). Plus it has my two ultimate favorite Zeppelin classics - "Kashmir" and "Trampled Under Foot." An epic.

It depends on what you mean by "best album". Which album has the best single songs? Or which album is the best to listen to top-to-bottom? Top-to-bottom would be Houses of the Holy

Houses of the Holy seems to come up a lot on this thread as their best album.

If I could only listen to one Zeppelin album ever again, that is what I would go with.

Mightin'it mean that that one is their best, then?
