I totally agree. Especially as a huge fan of cheesball power metal. These clowns have significantly less talent than my left nut, and for god knows why, they seem to be the poster boys of power metal for every douchebag whose knowledge of metal pretty much begins with Lamb of God and ends with Suicide Silence. And I think mentioning power metal and instantly being associated with Dragonforce is the definition of embarrassing.

The fact that there are popular nu metal acts like this floating around out there (and it only goes downhill from here) is the reason I have a difficult time understanding that Slipknot could be the absolute worst. I think most people hate them because they hate nu metal (understandable), and they are the best and most popular nu metal group.

I tried to post bands that covered a variety of genres. The ones I picked were the worst in their respective genres.

Yeah, they are, but Slipknot is on the same plateau of weak music. It has nothing to do with the nu metal label, Slipknot is just a metal band full of posers, and most people I'd consider metalhead posers listen to Slipknot, A7X, Dragonforce, Killswitch Engage, Five Finger Death Punch, etc.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me that these bands are awful or even that they're not good. I personally think all of the above artists are jokes.

Killswitch Engage is an emo band that calls itself "melodic death metal". It's not even that heavy, and some of their **** sounds like Three Days Grace type stuff (another band for my list).

I can't bring myself to take them seriously.
