TBO slipknot really isnt a Metal band anymore
songs like SNuff & till we die have took them to another realm IMO thats why thing i like about slipknot compared to LOG they dont make the same album over and over again hell they try and not make the same song over and over again |

Nah. New American Gospel is the best thing they've done by a mile. That album does things with extreme metal that blow my mind.

Not even sure how LOG got introduced to this thread. They are far removed from the nu metal being discussed. Their new album is atrocious, it is so generic and lifeless i searched the liner notes to make sure it was the same band.

I liked Randy's bark a lot more pre-Wrath, however, some of the best drumming moments occur in Sacrament. I also like the production on ATPB the best. It is raw without being lo-fi, sort of like the production on the newest Goatwhore release.
Personally, I don't think they should be here. I think they are a good band to recommend to introduce a newbie to metal. That person could just work their way backward through LoG releases. |
