Yeah... Rid of Me is pretty intense. As are most of the songs on that album.

MURDER JUNKIE 06-01-2007 07:47 AM

Liz Phair - Exile In Guyville (The whole album is pretty intense and angry, its a real shame that she sucks now)
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker (VERY intense all the way through)

intensity is not always measured through aggression

While that is true...it is measured through aggression sometimes.

Anything by BTBAM is pretty intense.

On the other hand, Sheryl Crows self titled album was pretty dark, I would call some of those songs intense just because of their somber nature.

For me it'd have to be something by Between the Buried and Me... More of Myself to Kill comes to mind.

Travis Coats 06-05-2007 02:38 PM

probably would have to go with either Die mother f%^& die! by dope

or Edgecrusher by fear factory

Ian 06-16-2007 02:20 PM

The songs "Storm" and "The Dead Flag Blues" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor are pretty intense (the climax at the 10 minute mark in Storm reduced me to tears the first time I heard it)

Also the ending of "Catamaran" by BearVsShark is pretty intense...Marc Paffi is intense
