The only song I didn't enjoy completely was Vicinity of Obscenity, and mostly because I didn't understand it. I think Daron gets overlooked sometimes even by people because System was so strange. But that's what was so great about them. I'll always love System, always - no matter how many people resent them for their early cult following.

I don't know, it just didn't catch me in any way really. Mezmerise was like a punch in the gut and this just couldn't compare i guess which is unfortunate. It has some brilliant moments on it though, like one of my favourites by them, Stealing Society. And Vicinity of Obscenity is just insane. I have give credit to a song like that!

the beginning of entombment of a machine is EXTREMELY INTENSE...but a little less than halfway through it dies out...so ima go with dig by mudvayne...it makes me wana roundhouse kick a poor defenseless dog...and i love dogs...

Eyehategod! "Dopesick Jam", especially.
GODFLESH YES WAAAHAAA
Sleep's stuff.
Joy Division, Ian Curtis was an intense dude.
Dimmu Borgir's intense, but kind of annoying for me...
Leonard Cohen's old stuff had a subtle intensity goin' on, very claustrophobic and articulate.
Acid Bath and My Dying Bride, both their catalogs are a tylenol-popping kind of intensity.
Man, there's a lot of ****, really....
And I agree, it's not all about how hard or piercing the sound is, it's about delivery and content, too.

Ahhh, yeah! Their cover of Dazed and Confused, too.

"In My Darkest Hour" by Megadeth always felt like the most intense song I've ever heard.

Im going with "Entombment of a Machine" by Job for a Cowboy.

Heavy and fast with freaky lyrics. What else is there?

Music that doesn't suck would be something else. I'd recommend listening to some.

You won't see a Scars On Broadway album in anybody's top ten list

I for one, am hoping it will be part of my top ten list. I've always considered Daron to be the bigger talent and I was happy that he got to shine on Hypnotize/Mesmerize. I'm digging the stuff I've heard so far from Scars on Broadway and looking forward to the album release here next week.

Edit: Absolutely love the song "Dreaming" by SOAD
