Death Metal Bands
 

I've started to listen to more Death Metal lately and just wanted to ask if anyone could tell me of any other Death Metal bands besides Children of Bodom, Death, Dimmu Borgir, Foreign Objects, and Malevolent Creation.

Dimmu Borgir are Black metal. Really pathetic Black Metal, with way too much commercial bits. Children Of Bodom are Power Metal...

Death Metal bands which are good: Morbid Angel, Deicide, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse and Zyklon.

Black Metal bands: Darkthrone, Emperor, Burzum, Marduk.

Melodic Death Metal bands: Arch Enemy, In Flames, At The Gates...

Gorgoroth and Opeth are my favorite black metal bands. check em out.

It's true, they ARE death metal, so true...

Um I don't know what ****ing sub-genres these are but I like Black Dahlia Murder, Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Blind Guardian, Godflesh, Hatebreed, Red Harvest, and Thy Serpent.
Oh and Spandau Ballet. :)

Nightwish are Power Metal.


Death Metal: Classified by a strong distorted bass line, fast drumming with many blast beats, and low brutal vocals. Guitar riffing is fast, but mainly not as prevailent as the bass.

Opeth are Goth Metal

Black Metal: Classified by higher pitch screaming or spoken vocals, higher fast guitars, bass isn't as prevailent as in Death Metal. Drumming is very fasy, with fewer blast beats (But lots still)

Opeth have black metal parts.

melodic death and death are essentially the same thing except melodic death guitarist actually understand music theory. good death bands : Death (obviously), In Flames, Zimmerman Note, At The Gates.

i must say though High King, you seem to know your stuff which is good.

Six feet under are good...

Course I do, I love extreme metal, though I do tend towards Black Metal. More atmosphere, and the bands are more interesting...
