I haven't had a chance to listen to your song you posted but I will later today. If Alfred liked it, i'm sure i'll enjoy it. |

Wanted to go ahead and expand on what I mentioned in the first post of this thread, with A Swarm of the Sun. They're quickly becoming a regular listening in my collection. They could be described as a combination of post-metal or post-rock, though I would be more inclined to mention them as post-metal. They only have two albums at the moment so i'm patiently awaiting to hear more if there will be more.

One of my all time favorite post-rock albums:
All Is Violent, All Is Bright God Is An Astronaut is in my top 5 of post-rock bands, though that changes pretty often within my top 10. I've always liked them ever since I was exposed to this album. Than I remember waiting for Age of the Fifth Sun, which also blew me away. I've given some of their other albums a listen, but not enough to really judge them to the fullest extent, not saying I hate them, just need more time to grasp it. A few songs from All Is Violent, All Is Bright: Spoiler for youtube videos:

Another great discovery today. It's a band called Let Airplanes Circle Overhead. I imagine they're not that well known because I can't find a single video on Youtube. However, I found their self titled album on Grooveshark, and I am really diggin it.
Grooveshark - Free Music Streaming, Online Music The album art is pretty cool too. Simple, but cool. |

I Hear Sirens
I've had Beyond The Sea, Beneath The Sky in my collection for as long as I can remember. I think it may have been one of the first post-rock albums I ever listened to. Not a very bad introduction into the genre if you ask me. I go back to it time and time again and remember why I still have it in my collection today. It's a fantastic album. Not much else to it really. Grooveshark link in case you want to listen: I Hear Sirens - Beyond The Sea, Beneath The Sky |

I Hear Sirens pt. 2
Admittedly, with this band, I've always been meaning to check out their EP, and it's gotten one or two listens from me so far (from what I remember). Quite a good album to be honest, can't really say if I like this better than Beyond The Sea, Beneath The Sky, because I feel like that album is a story even if lyrics aren't involved, but this EP is one hell of a way to start off, i'll give it that. |
