Headless Cross is a great little gem I agree and I used to live just a couple of miles from the actual village Headless Cross that the album was named after and stayed there a couple of times.

well i voted for Black Sabbath but i think Never Say Die! is unfairly badmouthed. It was the first Sabbath album i ever bought and it's the one that got me into the band. Songs like "A Hard Road" and "Junior's Eyes" may be very different to the early Ozzy stuff but i think its a nice change of pace. Easily my 4th favourite Sabbath record

It ain't one of their best, but that's the one I've been going to lately when I really need to get Iommified. Some of his best, ugliest solos are there, especially "Trashed" and "Zero the Hero." And the "Unfinished Demos" bootleg has more great Iommi on it.

Not bashing you mate, and yes I've given it many listens. I just figured someone was trolling, haha! But if it's your favorite, that's fine. For me, it's definitely the weakest of all the first 8 Sab records. I do like Air Dance and Shock Wave alot though.

Currently it's Sabotage a very catchy and bright sounding Sabbath. Ozzy does quite a fine job singing on this one. Most under appreciated is Seventh Star, very decent blues metal album with an eye on the Sunset Strip. The title track even has a little Led Zep worship in the Eastern chord progression.

It's pretty hard to pick since their albums for the most part are consistently good. But if I had to say, Masters of Reality with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as a close 2nd.
