Wow the Flying Pickets!!! They were a rough and ready band!! Didn't they form out of the remains of the Grumbleweeds?

Everyone at one time or another has used something from from Iggy Pop. Unintentional or not. But Godfather of Punk? Maybe or maybe not. Punk rock grew out of a desire for change. While The Clash had socialist leanings, The Sex Pistols were ardent nihilist (not to be confused with anarchy), and The Damned...well they were the damned...and that is just Britain. The Velvet Underground and The Ramones did alot to bring Punk rock over to the States.
