I hate to do this but I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure what Slowcore is. I know it has nothing to do with the rest of the "core" family but, from the meager descriptions I've gleamed from the internet, that's about all I know. Which is a shame, I'd love to add another genre to my palette. For personal growth and bragging rights, of course

The only "slowcore" band I ever really got into, probably because I ****ing love Mark Kozelek.

i've yet to meet someone who doesn't love kozelek.

also, galaxie 500, which is probably my favorite "slowcore" band.

these guys are really underrated.

This girl is great:

As are Lowercase (a noise rock/slowcore hybrid anyone?):

The likes of Chokebore, American Music Club, Low, Codeine, RHP, Galaxie 500, Bedhead, Carissa's Wierd, Karate and Rex are all fantastic in my book.

Idaho are a band that make beautiful, slow-burning music

I checked out their album Going Away Present recently and I'm loving it. I'm going to grab their other albums soon enough.
