Default Fairly New To Rock.

Hey guys, after being a raver from 15 till 23 (in this time very narrow minded about music) I have over the past 2 years completely turned into a Rock fan. At first I mainly listened to Oasis because growing up in the 90's Oasis were huge here in England and I knew a lot of there tracks.

Then I started listening to the Stones and this totally turned me, I then started to get albums of Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, The Who, The Jam, The Clash, The Charlatans, Stones Roses and the Black Keys.

I was hoping a few of you would be able to point me to some other good bands to listen to.

The Manic Street Preachers, namely their 1994 release The Holy Bible. Also, check out The Smashing Pumpkins if you haven't.

I'm really tired and not thinking as well as I will in the morning, but here's what comes to my mind immediately.

Creedence Clearwater Revival, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds, Cream, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, The Stooges, Canned Heat are all good. For older artists, you may also look into Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, and Fats Domino.

Cheers for the replies guys, Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane aren't really my cup of tea but after having a listen to the others on youtube there is definitely bands I could get into there as well as the blues players like Little Richard and Chuck Berry.

I mainly listen to metal and hard rock, which you probably won't be into.. But I was really into 90's hard rock and alternative rock music, I was never really into the Grunge scene.. Some of my favorites are Collective Soul, The Cult, The Vapors, AC/DC, Reo Speedwagon, Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Brother Cane, Dada and some more stuff I liked but cannot think of them at the moment..

Let's see if you like some of these..

Was going to buy both Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights albums but they are only available through download here in England.

Also added Led Zeppelins first 6 albums and some of Deep Purples to my Amazon wish list. Will definitely buy a few in the coming weeks.

Two words: Rory Gallagher

I'll return with more suggestions later, if you want them. Let it rock!
