I've only got Crisis, but it's one of my favourite albums at the moment. To a Friend and This Could Be Anywhere In The World are great songs

Default Alexisonfire

I don't know if my decision to place them in Hardcore & Emo is debatable or not, but I don't really care.

They're a band from here in Ontario, Canada, and I think they're pretty awesome. They're quite popular here, but I don't know about in the states. I dunno, they kind of remind me of Rise Against with screaming and different song structures.

Here's some songs by them to check out:

YouTube - Alexisonfire - rough hands (NEW!!!) - Rough Hands
YouTube - Alexisonfire - Water Wings - Water Wings
YouTube - Alexisonfire - Boiled Frogs - Boiled Frogs
YouTube - Alexisonfire - "This Could Be Anywhere in the World" - This Could Be Anywhere In The World

i technically opened for alexisonfire back in the early summer of 2003. they weren't on the bill but they were coming through town and the headliners asked if we were cool with cutting our opening set to fit them in. we didn't care either way. it was a sunday night, the bar didn't do any promotion, and the only people there were our friends haha.

i say we 'technically' opened for them because i bailed after our set. i'm told they were good but, it was sunday night, i had to work in the morning haha.

Just heard a single from the new CD 'Old Crows/Young Cardinals' its following the same ****ty path Crisis went down, but worse. Cant judge the whole album, but just this one song is worse than the first two albums. I think they should split, they put all the effort into side projects, then come back to the origin and write **** music, lazy lazy lazy all it is, is lazy.
