people just hear what they want to hear, especially in the case of stairway to heaven. yeah its creepy, but i cant see how plant and co could do it. then of course you have sveral pink floyd songs that contain backwards messages put in by the band on purpose. the difference between the floyd and zeppelin examples is that played forwards, the floyd messages are simply warblings and strange noises- just garble. not too hard to do. stairway to heaven played forward (the segment of the song in question) is "if theres a bustle in your hedgerow, dont be alarmed now, its just a spring clean for the may queen etc etc" real verses with meaning. too hard to do.
