I think it's generally bands with a target audience in the younger teens that try to wow you with their badassness by dressing up in Halloween costumes.

Christ. They should just call it Halloween Metal. Horror Metal sounds much too badass for such a lame concept.

Thanks! And yeah, my mention of Gothminister was not a recommendation

that sounds condescending, which alot of bands are, but i love halloween and the whole vibe, its more a fun thing than supposed to be genuinely scary. at least in my opinion, i think most metal bands are a joke anyways. i dont know what this dudes intent is with the prospective "horror metal" band, but it sounds fun to me. and again more of an art project than a music project

Well, i'll be damned. Now I know i'm glad to not be familiar with it.

hence why i try to make the distinction as an art project more than a music project. just as valid, but not in a forum called MUSICbanter

It probably sounds condescending because I meant it to be The kind of band idea that he described doesn't have much appeal to me and if there were no opinions (like mine) on music, there wouldn't be much to discuss either so I don't think you can really "blame" people for not being positive to every musical idea / project out there.

I don't mind horror in all music. For example there are some horror themed rockabilly/surf rock bands that I like. But if anything conjures up a vague association to stuff or people like this ..

Then I'm out!

One of the Band members must be Female and can play the Electronic Organ since it's normally played in Churches. She would be a leather Nun like character think Talia from Mass Effect video game series.
LOLWUT?! So, would she be able to breath oxygen, or would she have some kind of breathing apparatus?
