Iskra
Has anyone else heard these guys?? They’re from Victoria, BC the same city as me and run a cool little metal shop in town here.
Early stuff is more crust influenced while later stuff adds more bm elements. I don’t really care for their far left-wing hippie politics but they are well worth checking out if your looking for a good crust punk/bm hybrid, combining influences from acts such as Amebix, Doom, Siege, early Napalm Death etc. with bm and sometimes even grindcore influences. Thoughts, opinions?? |
Canadian blackened crust ftw. How about Black Kronstadt?
The Terrorism Act EP from Iskra is sick. |
Yeah, from the bits I’ve heard Black Kronstadt sound pretty great as well.
I still need to check out that EP of Iskra’s. They put on a ****ing awesome live show. |
I think the notion of so called Red & Anarchist Black Metal is actually more retarded than NSBM by quite a stretch. I mean, most hippies annoy me to no end, but punk reds & anarchists are the absolute worst.
That being stated, would you mind posting a representative track or two by them? |
Sorry, needed 15 posts before I could post these, but here you go
The vocals bugged me a bit at first but I have no problem with them now. |
