Sticky fingers was my first I sat down and really went through, but really.. start from the beginning because you need to start at the roots, which in this case are blonde. Brian jones must not be skipped over ! Plus there are so many good early songs, walking the dog, pain in my heart, heart of stone, mercy mercy (actually the whole out of our heads album is genius) & you get my point. ^ Alternatively, you could take a shortcut through the early years and get the compilation album, Big Hits: High Tide and Green Grass. That album has all the early singles on it.

Maybe to whet ones appetite, but as a Stones fan I would recommend going through their early albums.

Here's a rather forgotten album of instrumental harmonica rock. I don't know how much attention it received outside the UK, but in Britain it spawned a one-hit-wonder single that did surprisingly well. Surprising, because without a vocalist, and with a very anonymous album cover, this release rather lacked that kind of human interest that even the worst frontman in the world can generate. The result is quite a solid album that, afaik, was destined - or designed - to be considered of the second rank.

Not so much a recommendation because I only heard of them 10 mins ago. So this is more of a "What are you listening to right now ?", but we don't have a thread of that for old rock, do we?
Anyway: Count Five (Canadian band) had a hit with Psychotic Reaction - way back in 1966, but it still packs a punch:-
