It's not all equally impressive, but the ones that are.....pure friggin' magic. He's taken a bit of a break recently, totally throwing off anyone (i.e. me) used to his previous schedule of at least one pike per week. That level of output is astronomical compared to even the most prolific of modern musicians....gotta remember that before I start saying things like "Alright 2 months is TOO LONG to wait for new music." Any patience went out the window when he started showering us with the number of tunes that he has, lol. Can't wait to hear what he releases next.

Ok, i stand corrected - I'm sure Mr. Zorn and countless other composers around the world have been involved in massive amounts of composing and collaborations. In this case, you're right. There are many other artists out there who have him beat in terms of the sheer amount of material. I just love Buckethead, I guess

Obviously Eye-San on vocals. I think Zorn has cheapened himself playing and recording and releasing anything with anybody anytime. He's must be the biggest musical whore, ever. I can also see it as a cool attitude for a musician to have but to me at this point knowing Zorn is involved adds no credibility to the project in anyway. Take the clip you link to for example. Buckethead plays some very generic riff and then Zorn and Eye come in with their predictable schtick.

I think it goes without saying that I like a lot of Zorn's stuff and the Boredoms so I don't want this to be taken the wrong way.

Another thing is I just don't care that much for Mike Patton. And his fingers are in so many damn pies.

I think Zorn just likes to spread his wings and try new stuff out. Predictable or not, the screechy horsie sax and vocals always get me so it's no biggie.

I like Patton because he took Yamatsuka Eye's ideas and brought them to a whole new level. I think he is held a little too high up in the experimental world, but I don't think it's ill earned. He's probably the only person who uses extended voice technique that most regular people would know. That last part's not a testament to his talent or anything, just something worth noting. I'm not into everything he does, btw, just about 75% of it.

Fair enough. I pretty much agree.

Boredoms are by far the best thing Eye has been involved in that I've heard, in my opinion obviously.

If I'm in the right mood, Hanatarash is his best stuff. The rest of the time it's a fight between Boredoms and Naked City. They're both shouting and shrieking at each other...it gets ugly.
