tapes:

yellow eyes - sick with bloom
- usbm from nyc; purchased w/o hearing, because I (a) trust Gilead Medias output and (b) i really liked the cover art

krallice - dimensional bleedthrough
- i got this release because the riff salad on their debut impressed me so

locrian - infinite dissolution
-been meaning to check them out for some time, but this album does have some seriously bad cover art.

a pregnant light - rocky
-because colloquial sound recordings doesnt put out ****, and this is the headline act of the label.

chanter - the exconjuratory in ruins
-on a lark

bodystocking - impression
-on a lark

gorguts - pleiades dust
-because gorguts is gorguts is gorguts

saint vitus - die healing
-i like earlier st vitus, this was on sale, hadnt heard before, so.....

shah - beware
-arguably the first soviet thrash band, supposedly super duper over the top

sadistik exekution - the magus
-because its one of the top 10 most important extreme metal albums from the 80s

nme - unholy death
-because its one of the top 10 most important extreme metal albums from the 80s

decrepit - hymns of grief and pain
-a lark

leviathan - scarsighted
-because people wont quit talking about this band. i bought it in the hope that it would be terrible and i could mock poseurs with my knowledge.

metalucifer - heavy metal drill
-metalucifer are the only revival nwobhm i care about right now

solstice - halcyon
-because another tape i wanted was out of stock, and this one had a cover of "Gloves of Metal" on it.

Prepare to be disappointed because it rocks.

I recently spent money on the Sepultura record Roots. I know it's old. But my parents hated the band so I never got to hear it as a kid. I saw it at a music store for like three bucks and decided to get it. And I've fallen in love with it! It's amazing.

Some other stuff you should check out if you're into that.

If I were going to pick three tracks from that album, those are probably the exact three that I'd pick.

I went to a concert recently and bought this local bands record.

It's a fun little record. Facebook says post-hardcore but I hear metalcore.
