Except for the fact that the last half of the album is pretty mediocre. A lot of bands have fallen into the "Put all your good songs on the first half of the album and fill the rest with filler and hope nobody notices" trap, but Pantera like to live in there.

Don't get me wrong, I like Pantera, I've just sorta grown out of them. They were a gateway metal band for me.

Yeah, I am in the same boat to be honest. I think Pantera is actually dreadful.. but I still like that song and the majority of the album it is from.

But 99% of their output does not appeal to me anymore.

bought the CD/DVD release today, one of the essentials in the genre, so figured I would buy it.

I haven't done it yet but I'm on the verge of purchasing Botanist's double album:
The Suicide Tree/A Rose From the Dead

I keep listening to it so I guess I like it and I'm a sucker for beautiful artwork on metal album covers.

Botanist is the only one making black metal completely focused on plants. I have to salute him for that.

Agalloch - The Mantle. Had to import it from the U.S though but only cost £7.00 with free P&P. Happy days.
