wot r ur favourite types of metal music...heavy, thrash, black, death ect???

I love so many metal bands of so many styles,it's hard to say.mm
For old school it be: Iron Maiden or Judas Priest.

For Thrash:Slayer,Kreator,Megadeth,Slipknot,Chimaira,S eputura,more I cant remember now.
Death Metal: Six Feet Under,Obituary,Death,Deicide,Hate Eternal.
Melodic Death Metal:Arch Enemy,Children Of Bodom,Inflames,Dark Tranquility,Shadow,At The Gates,Amorphis,
Doom Metal:Paradise Lost,Golgotha,Chalice exe

Black Metal:Dimmu Borgir,Old Man's Child,Satyricon,Impailed Nazerine,Forest Stream, so much huh?!

Hrmm....many styles of metal....many to choose from...My particular favourites are Metal, Black Metal, Death Metal, Goth Metal, Grindcore and Thrash Metal!! Wow that was hard

Death: Kataklysm, Immolation, Anata, Necrophagist, Decapitated
Thrash: Overkill, Exodus, Death Angel
Power/Speed: Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Primal Fear, Symphony X
Black: Emperor, Marduk

I personally love the following: death metal, heavy metal, goth metal, love metal, and black metal. I can listen to rock. most of it doest bother me, but i'm with the metal.

I've never heard of love metal before...can you name a band so I can see what they're like thanks

Nu Metal, Black Metal, Grindcore (Dimmu Borgir), just about any type of metal. The least I preffer is Death Metal. But some of its ok.

Please someone help me some people say goth metal is like Diary of Dreams, Sisters of Mercy etc. True or false.

I prefer stoner metal (I like the SLOW grind Baby!!!!!)

Goth metal is bands like Within Temptation, that's a band I haven't gotten over recently, that chicks voice is so totally amazing. You should check out their album The Silent Force it's great

Impaled Nazerene isn't black metal.

i personally perfer melodic death with bands such as In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Fear My Thoughts, At The Gates, etc.

but Black and Thrash aren't bad either

Sorry bud, but Dimmu aren't even close to a grind band. They're Avant-garde Black metal

Now i'm confused, 1st people say they aren't black metal (which i thought) and instead are Grindcore but now they are Avant-garde (WTF) black metal.

Well everyone is different and will thus have numerous views and opinions on the 'Dimmu Borgir' topic ...
And when in regards to my very own opinion you ^^^^ dont know enough ... imo!

They aren't Grindcore no way but avant-garde...that's strecthing it....

i like all metal.

at the moment im really into dimmu borgir, downspell, slayer and im going through a big metallica phase right now.
