We can't have a doom thread without Reverend Bizarre and Electric Wizard

I love the way that this song is almost catchy in its execution yet still sounds badass.

This song, and the whole Come My Fanatics album in general, is what the apocalypse on acid would probably feel like.

I'll drop Candlemass in the mix here, it had been a minute since i had last listened to them so I decided to in honor of doom metal week. To me, Candlemass encompasses the imagery of power metal in a dark, doomy exterior. Quite sublime...

Im so excited, I almost missed this thread but thank god it was spotted. You guys have posted many of the doom heavy hitters already but here is a few more!

Baby Goat Sick by Dopefight.

Im very picky about screaming in even my doom metal. These guys get it right however. Everything this band puts out is incredibly heavy and intense.

Gauntlet by Grand Magus

This is little less straight old school doom, as its mixed with some other stuff. This is off the self titled album which is incredible and I reccomend everyone in this thread listens to it. Its a german outfit thats been playing together for over a decade.

Naught Witch by Monobrow

For those of you that dont mind instrumental doom this is the goldmine. These guys have only put out one album but holy **** is it good. And for a 3 piece they sure know how to fill up a room with mammoth sounds.

The Amazing Voyagers by Stonebride

This band is like listening to a heavy metal worship session. While you dont need to be religious, after listening you will believe in something. Inner Seasons and Summons the Waves are the to albums I have that never fail to impress with songs tipping the scales at 11 minutes. If your looking for a quick easy listen this is not the band for you.

Common Believer by Sungrazer

A recent find for me actually. Another solid 3 piece heavy hitting doom/stoner band with some solid songs from start to finish. If you like this song then check out the live versions as they sound fantastic.

Pedestrian: Thanks for keep this _____ of the week going. It is appreciated.

Zero: You are correct. Without Electric Wizard this thread is meaningless. Black Masses is pretty good, just got it recently. That reminds me of a simiar band acid king.

2 Wheel Nation by Acid King

Like Electric Wizard has shown us speed does not mean heavy. Heavy is a cosmic implication. A feeling a weight resting upon the listeners shoulders. Bearing down on all the senses with intensity and serene brutality.

@Rezz I almost missed it too. Thanks for the bump. I'd seen it and hadn't had the time, and now I do.
