^ There is just as much melody in black metal as in any other style of metal, though bad production does occasionally make it hard to hear.
Immortal, Dissection, Enslaved, Mercyful fate, Sacramentum and Burzum are my favourites. Emperor are mostly excellent even if their newer albums often come off as too ambitious for their own good. |
