Saw Tool Friday night sold out in Hampton, VA. I saw them once before during the "Lateralus" tour. I would say this show exceeded that performance. The overall sound, instrumentation, vocals, and set list were all pretty much flawless. I will also say that the light and video component was one of the best of any concert that I've ever seen. My only complaint is that that show is very short... just shy of about 2-hours-- I think.

I don't get to as many concerts as I would like, but just thinking back over the last year. Rush was 3+ hours, Dream Theater was 3+ hours, Phish was 3+++ hours (almost too long), Widespread Panic was 3+ hours, and I think Coheed and Cambria was close to 3-hours as well. I'll be seeing Jane's Addiction next month, so I'll be interested to see how long they play. |
