I'm going to have to decline your offer, KMS.

I do like Tool better, but I also love APC... "Mer De Noms" is phenomenal.

Dammit my best friend just called me and all I hear is a loud roar and

"It'll end no other wayyyyyyyyyyyyy"

Mafker is at the Reno show right now. Goddddddd

He's seen them like 3 times now and I've never had the chance/money.

I'm jealous. And I was even able to forget that he was going/that there was a tour going on. Rawr.

I can't quite remember the exact set list, but the first two played were 'Hooker with a penis' and 'Jambi'.

Others played to which I can't remember the exact order -

Stinkfist, Schism, A mellow track that I haven't heard prior and may be a new song(pretty solid as well), Ticks and Leeches, Pu****, 46 & 2, The Pot, Lateralus and Aenima.

Fantastic show. I personally have seen them quite a few times and have never heard Hooker with a penis, Ticks and Leeches and Pu**** live. This was as well the smallest venue that I've seen them in, but the sound quality was terrific, as were the visuals. A special point in the show for me was a moment where Maynard looked in my direction and I was the only one in my row standing and I extended out my arm and he 'nodded' at me.

They wont be around for too many more years, so if anyone gets the chance to see them, I wouldn't miss it.

No kidding. My buddy told me, by the way, that Maynard kinda messed up the lyrics in the middle of Lateralus and Ticks and Leeches but apparently had a great time nevertheless.

That he did, but I didn't hardly notice because at a Tool concert you are sucked into the zone. Lateralus live feels like a spiritual experience. Maynard as well sounded very good overall, much better than with APC back in July, where he sounded like he had lost ability, this particular Tool show wasn't prime like back in 2002, but he sounded good none the less with the help of some effects.

My seats were as well on the side of the stage in row 1, so I was maybe 20 feet from Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor and it was an interesting perspective to experience the show from that angle. The other times I have seen them have been front view, but much further back.

I forgot to mention that Intronaut was the opener and played 5 songs. Not bad at all musically, but lacking in energy. They're something of a tighter, less inventive Isis. I wasn't impressed enough to buy a record, but it was nice to have an opener that's not irritating to sit through. Wouldn't have minded a few more from them.

Reno itself is always enjoyable to visit, a trip to the games after a great concert. A good night out.

Just saw them last night in Grand Prairie. They're playing another show tonight, same place. I could be mistaken but I believe this is the only time on this tour that they have back to back shows in the same city. Just saw Puscifer last month. I think Maynard likes Texas. Anyway, the Tool show kicked ass. Some of my friends have seen them 6 times and they've never seen them play "Sober", but they played it last night. Right before they played it Maynard said: "We haven't played some of these songs since most of you were sperm". They even brought out and second drummer, him and Danny had a little drumming contest. It was killer. When they were finished, Maynard asked us, "Who won?" Then he said, "Neither one of you ****ers won, Adam won", then handed Adam the grand prize, a Pez dispenser.
