Decent band if you want outlandish singles. I remember listening to Common Dreads and being completely underwhelmed.
But definitely a good singles band, although that being said I haven't checked out any of their tracks since they released 'Destabilize' in 2010. I feel the band lacks a greater direction to be able to pull of a competent album, they need to find their niche instead of trying to be a jack of all trades and ultimately creating messy work which ranges from jumbled political rhetoric to over-zealous synth and electro twangs. |

While I'm not a big fan of Enter Shikari, their album Take To The Skies was good, which was the only one I actually listened to. They did play at Vans Warped Tour 2011 here in Montreal, but their stage time coincided with another band I preferred in which I cannot remember.

Heard a lot of people on my newsfeed crowing about the new album.
Listened to it, and couldn't get pass the first 3 songs. Was the same formula they've used on every other track; mindless rhetoric speaking coupled with horrible attempts at screaming and randomly placed synths. Some parts it will get louder, others there will be drops, but there is no progression, their music goes nowhere. It just flutters around and doesn't really do anything. It seems almost confused by itself and hastily thrown together. |
